Call Moov Money for an FI

Authenticate as your integrator account and put the FI’s providerID in the route. The FI must have an active affiliation with you and must grant the scope required by each operation.

Mint a participant token #

Use your Moov API key with HTTP Basic authentication, or an application access token with the required account-scoped permission. The FI grants the moov-money-tokens.write scope on its existing connection to your integrator account. For application tokens, include /accounts/{providerID}/moov-money-tokens.write in the token.

Send the participant’s FI-scoped externalID. Set clientType to service for a backend call:

The participant must be active and linked to a Moov account. The response contains an access token, its type, and expires_in. Provider participant tokens expire within 10 minutes. Use the returned expires_in; there is no refresh token. Mint another token when this one expires.

Responses and rate limits #

Status	Meaning
`400`	The request is malformed or `externalID` is missing.
`401`	Credentials are missing, invalid, or not supported by this route.
`403`	Your account cannot act for the FI, a required scope is missing, or the participant cannot receive a token.
`409`	The affiliation or provider state does not admit the request, such as while the affiliation is pending or offboarding.
`429`	A delegated request limit was reached for your integrator account or the FI. The response includes `Retry-After` in whole seconds, at least `1`. Wait that long before retrying.
`503`	Moov Money could not read delegated-access state or apply the request limit. The response has no body. Retry later.

The 401, 403, and 404 responses have no body. The 409 and 429 responses use problem details. The 503 response has no body. Moov Money does not publish the numeric request limits here.
