How to block or unblock someone
Blocking is how you stop someone from reaching you with money. A blocked person can't request money from you and can't send you money. Blocking is yours alone: it applies to your account, not to theirs, and it doesn't stop them from using Moov with anyone else.
Blocking is worth using any time a request feels like pressure, harassment, or a scam.
How to block someone
Open the app you use for Moov, or sign in at moov.money.
Open the contact or the request from the person you want to block.
Choose Block.
Blocking takes effect right away. A request they had already sent you stops being something you need to deal with, and any new one won't reach you.
How to unblock someone
Go to Account, then Privacy & Security.
Tap Blocked accounts.
Find the person and choose Unblock.
Unblocking lets them send you money and request money from you again.
What the other person sees
We don't tell someone they've been blocked. If they try to request money from you, they see a message saying the request couldn't be created. They aren't told why, and they don't get a notification.
Good to know
Blocking works on a phone number, so it also covers someone who isn't set up with Moov yet.
Blocking is not the same as reporting. If someone is trying to scam you, block them and then tell us, so we can act on the account across the network. See How to report a scam or fraud
Blocking doesn't undo a payment that has already been made. A completed payment can't be reversed through Moov Money.
If it's the volume of requests from strangers that's bothering you rather than one person, set Payment requests to Contacts only under Privacy & Security. See Privacy & security settings
