# What happens if my payment isn't claimed

Every Moov Money claim link is valid for **10 days**. If the recipient doesn't open the link and complete the steps to receive the money within that time, the payment **expires**.

## What "expired" means

- The recipient can no longer use the link to claim the money.
- The money is not sent.
- If the recipient opens an expired link, they'll see a message asking them to have you resend the payment.

## What to do next

If the recipient still needs the money, simply **start a new payment** and share a fresh link. Each new payment gets its own link that's valid for another 10 days.

## Good to know

- You don't need to cancel an unclaimed payment, it expires on its own after 10 days.
- If you want to stop a payment before then, you can cancel it while it's still unclaimed.
