This Cookies Policy explains how Moov uses cookies and other tracking technologies and how you can control them. We hope that this policy helps you understand, and feel more confident about, our use of this technology. Please periodically visit this page to review updates to this Cookie Policy.
1. What are cookies? #
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work in better, more efficient ways. For example, they can recognize you and remember important information that will make your use of a website more convenient (e.g., by remembering your user preferences). You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when cookies are sent, but this may impact the operation of our Websites and the services offered through our Websites. Unless you have adjusted your browser settings so that it refuses cookies, our Websites will use cookies in some manner.
2. What cookies do we use? #
Below are the different types of cookies we may use on the Websites.
2.1. Necessary / Essential Cookies. These cookies enable our Websites to function properly, help authenticate users and facilitate the log-in process (if applicable), and detect and prevent fraud. Without these cookies, we may not be able to provide certain services or features, or the services or features may not function properly or perform as smoothly for you as we would like.
2.2. Functionality / Preference Cookies. In some circumstances, we may use functionality or preference cookies. These cookies allow us to remember the choices you make while using the Websites and to provide enhanced and more personalized content and features, such as customizing a certain webpage, remembering if we have asked you to participate in a promotion, and to provide other services you request. All of these types of cookies are designed to help us improve your visit to and use of the Websites.
2.3. Tracking / Analytics Cookies. We and third parties (e.g., Google Analytics or Hotjar) may use tracking or analytics cookies, including web beacons, on our Websites or in marketing e-mail messages or newsletters. We use these cookies to collect and analyze how you interact with us, including on our Websites, to improve our Websites and communications with you, and to track the actions of our users (such as email recipients).
2.4. Social Media / Advertising Cookies. We embed certain services (e.g., from LinkedIn and Twitter) on our Websites. We may use information from cookies placed by these services to identify and measure the success of our marketing or advertising campaigns.
3. How do third parties use cookies on the site? #
Our Websites contain first-party and third-party cookies. First-party cookies are placed and read by Moov directly when you use our Websites. Third party cookies are not set by Moov, but by other companies and their services. We may not have direct access to these third-party cookies, although we may use information arising from the cookies to customize content and for the other purposes described in this Cookies Policy. These companies also may transfer this information to other parties where required to do so by law or where such other parties process the information on their behalf. To learn about these third-party cookies, please refer to the relevant third party’s website as shown below:

4. How can you control cookies? #
Moov Money analytics #
Moov Financial, Inc. uses Google Analytics on moov.money to measure website usage and improve the site. When analytics is on, Google receives information such as the pages you view, your browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. Analytics loads automatically unless you opt out or your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
We configure this analytics integration for site measurement, with advertising features and Google signals disabled. Its analytics cookies expire after one year without extending their expiration on each visit. That cookie lifetime is separate from the retention of data already sent to Google.
Turn off analytics #
Analytics is inactive in this preview or JavaScript is disabled.
Opting out stops this website’s Google Analytics tag from sending further events and removes its analytics cookies from this browser. It does not delete information already collected. We remember your choice in a preference cookie for one year. Clearing cookies removes that saved choice; other browsers and devices have their own settings.
You can also enable Global Privacy Control in a supported browser. When we detect that signal, we turn off Google Analytics automatically and save the opt-out. No additional confirmation is required.
Browser cookie settings #
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies for a website. Be aware that if you delete all cookies then any preferences you have set will be lost, including the ability to opt-out from cookies as this function itself requires placement of an opt out cookie on your device. Guidance on how to control cookies for common browsers is linked below.
For additional information, see https://allaboutcookies.org/how-to-manage-cookies. Again, please note that by disabling or blocking any or all cookies, some features of or services through the Websites may not operate as intended, or you may not have access to features or personalization available through the Websites.
Specific third party cookies can also be managed via the following links:
- Google Analytics: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/

- LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy
- X (formally Twitter): https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/x-cookies#what-privacy
Finally, the Digital Advertising Alliance provides a consumer choice tool at optout.aboutads.info that allows you to opt-out of many companies’ cookies.
5. How do we respond to DNT (“Do Not Track”) browser signals? #
In compliance with California AB 370, Section 22575, we have a responsibility to inform you that the Websites do not take any specific automated action in response to browser Do Not Track signals (“DNT signals”). As specified above, there are actions that you can take to restrict or eliminate the use of tracking technologies within the Websites. Global Privacy Control is a separate signal. On moov.money, we honor it by disabling Google Analytics and saving the opt-out, as described above.
